How to claim and update your free business listing

If your business is already on GetListed.uk, we probably put it there. We build listings from public information, such as a business’s own website and open map data, so owners don’t start from a blank form. That information can be wrong or out of date, and claiming the listing is how you correct it. It’s free.

Claim a listing that’s already here

Find your business by name, or browse the category and city it belongs in. On the listing page you’ll see a box asking “Is this your business?” with a Claim Now button. You’ll need an account, which takes a minute to set up, and a few details to show the listing is yours.

We review every claim by hand. You’ll get an email confirming we’ve received it, and a second one once it’s approved or declined. After approval you can edit the listing from your dashboard.

What to fix first

Start with what customers act on: the phone number, opening hours and website. Then write a description in your own words. The ones we generate are short and plain, and you’ll describe what you do better than we can.

Add your own photos and logo as well. Some listings currently show an image taken from the business’s website, and others show a stand-in photo for their category. Upload yours and it replaces them. You can also add services, the areas you cover, social links and answers to questions customers ask you often.

If you’re not listed

Use the Add Listing page. You’ll need a business name, category, city, address, postcode and phone number. Everything else is optional, though listings with opening hours and photos give people more reason to get in touch.

If you’d rather not be listed

Email admin@getlisted.uk with the name of the business and we’ll correct or remove the listing, along with any images attached to it. There’s no charge and you don’t need an account. You can also use the contact page.
