What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Some are needed for the site to work, and others are set by services we use or by other companies whose tools appear on our pages.
Cookies and similar technologies on this site
Essential cookies. These keep you signed in if you have an account, protect forms and support the pages you ask for. The site doesn’t work properly without them.
Caching. We use a caching tool to make pages load faster. It may store a small amount of data in your browser.
Google reCAPTCHA. Our contact, sign-up and listing forms use reCAPTCHA to tell people from automated bots. Google may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address when it loads. Google’s own privacy policy governs what it does with that data.
Sign in with Google or Facebook. If you choose one of these options, the provider’s script loads and the provider may set its own cookies. They apply their own policies.
Maps. Listing pages can show a map. The map provider receives your IP address so it can send you the map tiles.
Analytics and advertising
We don’t currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we’ll update this page and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working, such as signing in. Browser help pages explain the steps, and the ICO’s guidance on cookies is a good starting point.
